The home you want - the way you want it
Buying a new home is getting more difficult so at Lomond Timber Frame we are introducing an innovative new scheme with the help of BuildStore, the UK's largest and most successful self build specialist.
The BuildAssist Scheme
Designed for people who want to save money and add value by finishing the work themselves, we will build your new home on selected sites up to wind and watertight then hand it over to you to complete. This is ideal if you are involved in or have contacts in the building and allied trades or if you want to manage the completion of your home yourself.
What do I get in my Build Assist home?
With this scheme we will complete the foundations and erect the Timber Frame kit which we will have worked with you to specify. The external superstructure will be complete and the roof will be tiled. Windows and external doors will be fitted and services will be ready to be connected. You will therefore have a fully wind and watertight house which is totally complete externally, and ready for the internal work to be completed by yourself. This will include the plaster boarding of rooms, first and second fit electrics and plumbing and the installation of kitchen and bathrooms.
By taking on this work yourself you are adding value to your home and saving money.
Paying for your new home
We have worked closely with self build specialists BuildStore to introduce a new way of buying your new house.
This new scheme sees you completing your new home in stages. You will be the owner of the land from your first payment and will pay for your new home in stages as it is constructed.
The scheme involves a low deposit - as little as 5% so it is possible to stay in your current house while the new one is being built and then sell once you have moved in.
The first money provided by the scheme is to allow you to pay Lomond Homes for the plot and the externally completed Build Assist superstructure. At this stage, the title to the plot changes hands to yourself, and you are then able to complete the property internally.
There are then two further releases of money to you. The first is for first fix and boarding out of rooms and the final payment pays for the second fix, kitchen and bathrooms.
